What can I expect in my first counselling session?

Our first session will try and find out why you think you’ve come for counselling and what it is you hope to change or make better. But what you want to say is always entirely up to you. Counselling is always a space where you can say as much or as little as you like.

When will I feel better?

This varies from person to person, some people find they only need a few sessions to get the help they need, for others it takes longer. This can become clearer as we work together.

Is it confidential and regulated?

Yes. I provide a safe, confidential space and I abide by the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Find out more about this here.
